Jefferson residents received needed rain, but high heat and extreme humidity sent many people looking for indoor air-conditioned activities during the week that ended July 22.
Rainfall totaled 3.65 inches. High temperature for the week was 96 degrees Wednesday and Thursday. The low temperature was 61 degrees last weekend. Once a heat dome settled on Iowa, Jefferson had two nights when the low temperature was 79 degrees.
